London-based trio kid apollo have dropped their fantastic new track, ‘lose yourself.’. The dreamy tune is a fine example of how groovy lo-fi music can be, with airy synths lurking around in the back of a texture mostly filled with tight snares, a calm lead vocal and perfectly placed background vocals. On the track, singer Jimmy HM says: “I wrote ‘lose yourself.' to get across how I really felt when being consumed by the city, in both good and bad ways.” The track comes with a self-directed video that matches the track perfectly, and is lifted from their upcoming EP, all i think about, which is dropping on November 10^th, 2021. -Dan Peeke
